In the book of Job the devil complains to God he can’t reach Job because of the hedge of protection around Job.
Then God himself points out that Job was partially in the devils power. There was a break in this hedge.
The devil had legal rights to part of Jobs life and didn’t even know it.
Something in Jobs life belonged to the devil.

What was this entry way past the hedge?

The bible gives us the clues.

He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him. Ecc 10:8

I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever YOU prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and whatever YOU permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” matt 16:19

Then Job himself unknowingly tells us how the devil had received his legal rights through the hedge.

For the dreaded thing that I

F E A R E D

has happened to me,

what caused me to

W O R R Y

has engulfed me.

Job 3:25

Worry and fear give the devil a way through

the hedge.

He gains legal rights in our life when we dwell on darkness. He has rights to darkness.

There is no fear in Love, no darkness in God.

Perfected love casts out all fear. Without fear the devil is locked out.

The devil owns rights to all those who live in fear. He is locked out of everyone who lives in faith. (faith works through love)
If you live depending and beliving in the love God has for you (not depending on the in love you have for God) then you will have love for God and others and fear will be cast out. When you are loved you then love, its is natural. The branch gets its strength through the trunk and roots, not from itself. We get our love from the love God has for us, not through straining to produce love on our own. We receive this love through belief, the same way we receive love from others in our lives. Belief is the connection to love, belief is the way it reaches us. Belief is the open door. We create real things inside of us with belief just as God creates reality with belief and words. We are in his image so we work in the same way even if we do not know it.
