The crowd has always been wrong
They were wrong when they worshiped Caesar as a God
They were wrong when they cheered as Christians were fed to the lions
They were wrong as they abandoned morality to march with dictators
They were wrong when they turned a blind eye to Hitlers ovens
They were wrong when they defended slavery as right
Morality that shifts with the crowds is powerful, forceful and intimidating
The great men of the world, stood up for right when it was hardest
Martin Luther King with his marches,
Gandhi with peaceful resistance,
Martin Luther with his thesis nailed to the church,
Lincoln with his proclamation
They all acted against the crowd,
when it was hard,
All were persecuted. Hated. Mocked.
They all stood out as lights amongst the forgotten masses that went along with the evil spirit of the age.
But they stood till the masses were enlightened and that light showed the darkness for what it was
Our age has its spirit, it is powerful, forceful and intimidating. It is also wrong.
All of us will one day meet the only one who determines what is right and what is wrong.
Where will you stand today, when it is hard. When you will be persecuted?
Will you stand out as a light, or be forgotten with the darkness?
“If you are ashamed of me and of my teaching in this godless and wicked day, then the Son of Man will be ashamed of you when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:38 GNT
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. James 4:4
And indeed every one who is determined to live a godly life as a follower of Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 2 tim 3:12
